Thank you notes #$%^*(.

I will never claim to be the perfect parent. There really isn’t such a thing. Since The Teenager was six I have been insisting she write thank you notes. Last year I succumbed to her demands that no one writes thank you notes to their friends in middle school. FINE. She still wrote them to the adults. This year It has literally been like pulling teeth and she still hasn’t done it. I have pleaded, threatened, bribed, all great parenting techniques by the way.  So I would like to say if you are one of those adults that took time out of your hurried life to send my child a present, don’t send her one next year if you don’t get a thank you. Thanks.
